Privacy
Sauna Rounds keeps the data it needs to plan, time and remember your sauna sessions, and nothing for advertising. We don't sell or share your data.
What we store
- Your account. The name you enter and your passkey's public key. We never see or store a password; the private half of your passkey stays on your device.
- Your sessions. Plans, rounds, cooldowns, plunges, heat-up readings, journal notes and settings, including the sauna location you choose for weather.
- Guest mode. The same session data, kept on our server for 7 days and then deleted, unless you create an account and take it with you.
- Feedback. What you send through the feedback form, plus an email address or phone number only if you add one.
- Thermometer connection (optional). Your Tuya project credentials and device ID, stored encrypted, and the temperature readings we fetch.
- Notifications (optional). If you turn on phase alerts, your browser's push subscription so we can send them.
Cookies and analytics
One cookie keeps you signed in; there are no advertising or third-party tracking cookies. On saunarounds.com we count page views and a few product events (such as "session started") with a self-hosted Umami instance, which does not use cookies or build a profile of you. If your browser sends Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control, we don't count anything.
Who else sees it
- Open-Meteo receives your sauna's coordinates (not your name or account) when we fetch the weather forecast.
- Tuya receives your own project credentials when we read your thermometer, if you connect one.
- Your browser's push service (from Apple, Google or Mozilla) delivers notifications you turned on.
Our server keeps short-lived technical logs, including IP addresses, for security and rate limiting.
Your choices
You can edit or delete sessions and journal entries in the app, disconnect a thermometer and turn off notifications in Settings, and download a backup of your data. To have your account and everything in it deleted, send a request through the feedback form on the About page, and we will do it.
Changes
If this policy changes, we'll update this page and the date below.
